are ppl like idk. embarrassed or smth abt reading romance or smth idk. not romance as a genre, but even say 'subplot' its literally so cringe when i see ppl hellbent on defending books with 'this had themes nd narrative dw! the romance is just a subplot, it doesnt take precedence above the actual plot haha' which like wow man do u know u sound insecure as fuck lol
